The Southern Indiana Writers Group has a new anthology out, and it’s a pip! I would give you a link to our web site or our blog, but they’re both under construction. Oh, what the heck–This is our web site and this is our blog.
Here is the new book:
I’s in the proof stage now, but it will be available through Lulu for $16.95 print and $1.95 PDF download. I have some stuff in here, so I’ll be adding it to my credits and my story pages.
Here’s the blurb on the back:
Another time, another planet, another intelligence. FUTURE PERFECT: TENSE IN SPACE, the 16th in the long-running Indian Creek Anthology Series will take you on strange and wonderful journeys to far distant worlds and, most strange and wonderful of all, into the depths of the human heart.
In other news, the fabulous Sara Deurell–also known as Sara D–has a new post up at her writing blog SARA D VS. REALITY. I would highly recommend Sara as a writer, editor and blogger even if I hadn’t given birth to her.
The ever-intriguing Barbara J. King’s Friday Animal Blog has a new post up, this one on celebrating Jane Goodall, and includes suggestions of things we can do to support animal welfare, other than telling each other, “It’s a shame about the animals, isn’t it?” I’m currently reading Dr. King’s BEING WITH ANIMALS and enjoying it very much.
Today, Mom and I are going to Charlestown Road to grocery shop. Our local stores don’t have much in the way of fancy food, and we’ve got a hankering for something fancy. Charlie told me last night, he isn’t all that into tofu. I love it, though, so I might pick up a carton or two and freeze them. I’ll let you know if anything interesting–for a certain value of “interesting”–comes of it.
writing prompt: Have a character try a new food. Describe the food and the character’s reaction. Have there be consequences of some kind.
