Comming Attractions and Spelling Poll

Guess what? I don’t know how to spell “coming”! I’ve left it incorrect in the title because I’m taking a poll. Hands up, everybody who thinks it OUGHT TO have two Ms.

Tomorrow, author Robin Spano guests here, talking about her mystery, THE DEAD POLITICIAN SOCIETY, a title we can all get behind, although various of us would imagine different politicians in the title role.

Donna Fletcher Crow visits again September 14 with a new post in honor of the US release of her new entry in the Monastery Murders series, A VERY PRIVATE GRAVE.

Tuesday, I kick off my blog book tour for EEL’S REVERENCE at Fatal Foodies, talking about food as characterization. I’ll be posting at a different blog every weekday for two weeks, but I’ll be here every day with a new writing prompt.

WRITING PROMPT: Is your main character interested in politics, national, local, familial or work-related? If so, describe. If not, why not?

Yay…looking forward to being here tomorrow! Here are answers to both of your questions.

Comming…ha ha. Sounds to me like the act of being a communist…but we all know I’m a bit of a political junkie.

Is my main character interested in politics? No. She could not care less about them…she finds them boring and irrelevant…at least at the beginning of the story.

Intriguing that your MC in DEAD POLITICIANS had no interest in politics. I can see where that would be most useful–people could fill in the reader while they’re filling in the MC, and it gives her a ready-made growth arc. You are brilliant!

I spell “coming” wrong all the time. I just looks right as “comming” to me. But I am probably one of the worst spellers, so don’t even as me. LOL
