Did you know you can make micro-loans through Kiva.org for as little as $25? I’ve made 16 loans, using (I think) $75.00. Now, 25 times 16 doesn’t equal 75, but what happens is, when the interest-free loan is paid off, I lend it again. The same $25 goes around and around and around.

Feels great to get an email saying “You have a Kiva credit”, meaning one of your loans is being paid off. When I get about $36 credit, I loan it out again, with a little extra thrown in for Kiva’s operating expenses. Every year or so, I put another $25 into the pot and around and around it goes!
As for TV, I spent the night with Mom last night, and we watched The Good Guys, and I learned that, if you want to heat pizza up in the toaster, you turn the toaster on its side.

October 9, 2010 at 12:50pmI’ve never tried it–that’s just what the character in the tv show said. I usually heat pizza up in the microwave or the toaster oven–if there’s any leftover at all!
