I was born in Louisville, Kentucky, but now live in the woods in southern Indiana. Though I only write fiction, I love to read non-fiction. The more I learn about this world, the more fantastic I see it is.

    I red Bodie’s Woman in a Red Dress… awesome.

    She stumbled over her words.
“Well,” he said impatiently. “Tell me why.”
The struggle to finally be honest about her past, especially that past experience left her numb. “I can’t spend time at the Andrews house.”
“Why, they are my friends, you know that.”
She swallowed. “When I was in the eighth grade, Robert…”

I leave you the reader to fill in the blank.

“When I was in the eighth grade, Robert dipped my pigtails in the inkwell.”
      “What’s so awful about that?”
“I was at school, and the inkwell was at his house. Do you know how long it took for my hair to grow back out?”

Isn’t it wonderful? I’m reading her book GOOD ON PAPER and it’s wonderful, as you can imagine from reading that story. πŸ™‚
