My favorite villain wears armor, a helmet and a cape, and his last name starts with a V. And it isn’t Darth Vader.
No, my candidate for Best Villain of All Time is the illustrious Victor Von Doom. Dr. Doom is ruler of the kingdomlet of Doomania — I mean Latveria. He’s the sworn nemesis of The Fantastic Four and The Silver Surfer and just about any good guy who comes along.
I sing you of Victor Von Doom,
Who escapes from both prison and tomb.
He can best gods and man
And stay fresh in his can
‘Cause he’s simply too cool for the room.

April 27, 2011 at 6:34pmMy favorite villains are from Disney. They are Maleficent and Ursula. They are just so evil. Their costumes are awesome. Their powers are awesome. Maleficent turns into a dragon. Ursula is part octopus. What more could you want?

The wicked stepmothers in Snow White and Cinderella are great–even though the one in Cinderella didn’t have magical powers, she looked and sounded like Gloria Swanson, and that has to count for something. lol Interesting that your favorite villains are female. February 6, 2016 at 12:27pmMy favorite scene with Doctor Doom was in an issue of Excalibur. The team had enlisted his help to get Magik’s Soulsword, and Kitty Pryde says something to him along the lines of “Ruler of Latveria, demon sorcery, is there anything you don’t do?”
Doom: Knit. I find it too repetitive.
So sadly, your favorite villain will probably never be up for a scarf-making party with you, but other than that, he’s pretty cool.

February 7, 2016 at 8:31amToo repetitive? He’s obviously never tried to follow a goddam pattern. I’ve ripped the thing I’m working on now apart ten times. He’s just covering for the fact that he couldn’t handle the needles in that armor. OTOH, he’d probably magnetize them so they couldn’t slip out of his hands (and out of the stitches) and slide across the floor, like mine do. Yeah, knitting is a contact sport with me.
