Best Husband Ever

That would be mine. No, sorry, Holly, not yours, but mine.

He says, “I’m sorry I’m not demonstrative.”

I’m like, “Seriously? Seriously? Not demonstrative?”

If he reads this, he’ll be demonstrative by slicing me in two wi’ a breadknife and dancin’ about on me grave, because he doesn’t like to be talked about.

But he’s out there in the kitchen making breakfast. Hash browns and eggs and buttered toast.

That’s my kind of demonstrative!

It’s done — gotta go!

Baby, you’re the greatest!

A WRITING PROMPT FOR YOU: A character demonstrates an emotion by actions rather than gestures. Another character either does or does not understand.

Sorry – it’s MY husband who is the greatest. Breakfast every morning! On our recent road trip, we stayed at B & Bs and the guests were impressed he’d bring me a cuppa coffee to the room each morning. LOL.

Dani, I think it’s so cute that you think YOUR husband is the best! 😉

The incredibly hot young woman awakened Perry, gave him a big kiss, and went out in the kitchen to make breakfast. Hash browns and eggs and buttered toast.

“That,” thought Perry, “is my kind of demonstrative!”

That takes care of the writing prompt for me. Over, done, finito!

Okay – I’ll stipulate to “Best Husband Ever for Marian”. 🙂 Mine’s the best for ME. But I’m starting to see how our men would get along – given they probably have a lot in common! (Including us silly writer critters for wives, who know they don’t much like being talked about, but put up with us anyway when we do. That’s trust, right there!)
