A Life-Saver, A Young’un, Poetry, and a Kick

Not a bar joke.

–Oh, by the way, this is the first of the month, so I have a new Hot Flash up. Go read. I’ll wait.

Okay.

I Save Lives is the blog of Eric Cantu, firefighter, paramedic, and author. Besides being, you know, a real-life hero, he’s a foodie and a photographer, and he writes really really good blog posts.

Self-styled lit nerd Amelia Bauer blogs about her reading adventures on Diary of a Lit Nerd. I love Amelia’s posts because she doesn’t approach “classic” lit with resentment OR with petrified reverence, but with at attitude of, “Lots of people say this is a really good read. I want to try it!” She isn’t afraid to give a book a “mucus-y yellow-green rating” if she hates it. Gotta love that!

30Days52-13Gerald So’s The 5-2: Crime Poetry Weekly is just that. I’ll be participating in the 5-2’s blog tour in April in honor of National Poetry Month. If you like poetry and/or crime, you’re invited to join!

Last, but certainly not least, the Kickstarter campaign for the SAGE trilogy is still going on. It’s fully funded, so there’s no risk, but we still have over half a month left to nag solicit invite people to contribute. Every stretch goal reached is another part of my career enhanced.

A WRITING PROMPT FOR YOU: A young person writes a poem about a crime, then sets fire to it.

About

I was born in Louisville, Kentucky, but now live in the woods in southern Indiana. Though I only write fiction, I love to read non-fiction. The more I learn about this world, the more fantastic I see it is.

Thank you so much for the kind words and linking to my blog. It’s always a good feeling when you know at least one person likes what you wrote 😉 thank you, Marian. I really appreciate it.
