Beloved Cats From Across The Pond #Caturday

Sweetie PieSweetie Pie Turner here.

I’m not the only kittie MomGoth is an unofficial relative to. She has two beloved cats who live in England! The other day, she was deeply touched to receive this from them, put into the mail (or, as they say over there, the post) by their human, Andrea Gilbey.

Beloved CatsIt says:

Dear Auntie Marian,

catflowerMama just told us that our friend Katya used up all her nine lives.

We wanted to send flowers, but Mama said they wouldn’t last, so we sent a flower card instead.

We never met Katya, but we will always remember her, and that she encouraged our writing talents.

When we are big grown up writer-cats like her we’ll dedicate our autobiography to her. We have a title already — “A Tale of Two Kitties”.

If we were there we would snuggle you so you wouldn’t feel so sad, but as it is Mama is helping us send a lot of love to you and all Katya’s family.

Love from T.C. & Thomas

XXXX

MomGoth is a little sniffly over getting such a sweet card from the dear boys. She counts herself very lucky to have such good kittie friends like them — and me!

A WRITING PROMPT FOR ANIMALS: How do you console your human when they’re sad?

About

I was born in Louisville, Kentucky, but now live in the woods in southern Indiana. Though I only write fiction, I love to read non-fiction. The more I learn about this world, the more fantastic I see it is.

I have always found the kitties to be extra loving when we need them.

Sweetie Pie, your job is cut out for you. I know you are up to it.
    Hugs, kisses, chin scritches.

Jane, Sara’s Al was a real therapy cat. Katya, not so much, but Al could always be counted on for comfort when you needed it. Sweetie Pie was extra sweet this morning, and got extra scritches, which made us both feel better. πŸ™‚

    A great post!

One of my Nikita cats best friends and encouragers, over the years, was an activist English Kitty known as the Everycat.

When Nikita went to the Bridge, last year, they finally got to meet in person.

That must have been quite the ocassion. πŸ˜€

My late Katya was so very much like her predecessor, Tiffany, I like to think they’ve met and have each finally found another cat they enjoy being around. πŸ˜€
