Yes, it’s Friday again. “Death Kitty”. *snort* I love it.
Okay, so if you’ve read this blog for like two Fridays, you know the Friday titles are just mash-ups of what I’m recommending, assuming I’m recommending more than one thing. So, no, there is no Death Kitty. Sorry.
But here’s a picture of a Death Unicorn and a Death Cow instead. Happy now?
HOWEVER, what there is is a link my ever-lovin’ husband sent me about a Hello Kitty retrospective at the Japanese American National Museum and at the Museum of Contemporary Art. And then, also in Los Angeles, comes the first ever Hello Kitty Con! Alas, I will not be attending any of these. Boo hoo for me.
My pal Jim Hilton sent me a link to this blog, which I’m lovin’! My Village in Umbria is my new favorite place to hang out. It’s like Corydon (where I live) with better food.
Rebekkah Niles’ blog, The Walk of Words, showcases her highly imaginative work on her fantasy world of Broken Powers, but also has invaluable advice on grammar, getting published, and learning to love tea.
Here is an AWESOMESAUCE post by Jefferson Smith on his Creativity Hacker blog, on The 5 Most Common Writing Mistakes That Break Reader Immersion. Oh, honey, you’re welcome!
Finally, a site that seems to have been invented just for MomGoth: The Funeral Poem. I was led there by this one, quoted on another blog without attribution: Death Is Nothing At All, by Henry Scott Holland. I love it. It makes me happy.
A WRITING PROMPT FOR YOU: Hello Kitty meets Death.
