The Munchkin Report on Caturday

MunchyFaceSmHi, I’m Munchkin.

I hate to report bad news, but I went back to the vet and I’ve lost weight! I’m taking my medicine like a good boy, and Pop says I eat like a horse, which is silly, because horses don’t eat fish and chicken!

They took some more of my blood, and told MA to give me all the food I want! They’ll call when the blood tests come back.

It was an exciting day, all in all. First, MA and I had a great wrestling match. She won, and I did go into the carry crate. Then, on the way, a turn was sharper than MA thought and my crate slid all the way across the back seat of her car and turned halfway over! She said, “Oh! Oh! It’s just like The Poseidon Adventure! Oh, poor baby!” She stopped the car right on the road and got out and moved me to the front seat.

When I got to Old Capital Veterinary Hospital, I wouldn’t come out of the crate. MA and Bob coaxed me out, and Bob weighed me. Here’s a picture of him. It’s a little blurry, because he doesn’t stand still much!

report on BobThis is Melissa. She’s the one who squished the pee out of me on my first visit. She didn’t mean to; I was wiggling and she had the job of holding me still.

Report on MelissaAnd this is Dr. Towsley. He’s trying to figure out what’s wrong with me. I don’t care, as long as he keeps telling MA to feed me whatever I want, as much as I want!

Report on Dr. TowsleyOn the way home, MA came to an intersection, and it’s a good thing she was paying attention, because a guy ran a stop sign and would have hit her if she hadn’t put on the brakes! I felt kind of bad, because I was distracting her, complaining about having to go to the vet, but she stopped and the guy backed up and we went on. She wasn’t even mad at me! She wasn’t even mad at the guy. She said, “We all do it sometimes. We’re all just lucky nobody got hurt this time.”

When we got home, MA gave Amidala and me some salmony stuff. I’m ‘xhausted.

Amidala took this picture of me (Munchkin) and Oilified it so it looks like a beautiful painting. Of me (Munchkin).

I like the way black cats lie right in front of you in the dark and expect you to see them. You know, they can see US! And he just KNEW I wouldn’t step on him! Nicholas gave me 2 scary falls, and Once I tried shutting him up in the door (he didn’t fit), but on the bright side, he DID learn to watch out a little better!

Yeah, Munchkin seems to think we can both be in the same place at the same time — especially on the basement steps. I’m like, “Honey, if I step on you, you can yowl all you like, but this foot ain’t goin’ nowhere until the other one is ready for the load.”
