First, let me say HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MOMGOTH’S #4 DAUGHTER!
It’s Caturday again, and I get to introduce one of MomGoth’s characters. Her name is Cornelia Phelan (Connie, for short), the main character in SIDESHOW IN THE CENTER RING. She had a little accident, and she’s a patchwork of all the colors people can be, just like a tortoiseshell tabby cat! Like me!
Yes, you can touch my arm. Yes, it’s really my skin. Yes, you can touch my hair. OUCH! I didn’t say you could pull it! Yes, it’s really my hair!
I’m sorry, I didn’t catch what you said just then — too busy wiping the tears out of my eyes from the pain. Oh, you like this outfit. Yeah, it’s a Jackie Eastman original. Not that I’m one of those fashion horses that has to have exclusive. Jackie just happens to be a friend of mine. God knows why, but he likes me.
Sure, I like him, too. Who wouldn’t like Jackie? He’s like a big kitten with a cigarette hanging out of the side of its mouth. Even Darryl likes Jackie — as far as Darryl can like anybody besides himself — as Darryl’s a sociopath.
Don’t pull my hair, either! I’ll tell MomGoth, and she’ll put you in a story and make something bad happen to you!
Connie and Jackie and Darryl are all in SIDESHOW IN THE CENTER RING, a science fiction comedy of bad manners. It’s available through Indiebound and at Amazon in print and for Kindle and Kindle apps (the apps are free!).
A WRITING PROMPT FOR ANIMALS: What do you do if somebody pulls your hair? What if it’s a baby who doesn’t know any better?
SPTSharing is nice.
