Remember Dark Shadows? Remember David Selby who played Quentin Collins? (I know Jane does!) He has a blog! So cool!
What I’m reading now — Among the story elements sure to grab my attention are these: geeks, survival under difficult conditions, and Mars. So OF COURSE I’m reading THE MARTIAN by Andy Weir. I actually bought it. Yes, with money and all. It’s a feast! My only quibble so far is that they had potatoes with them so they could celebrate Thanksgiving, and I think it should have been sweet potatoes for Thanksgiving. But he didn’t ask me.
I’m lucky that I have a dear transgender friend who doesn’t mind answering my ignorant questions. In case you aren’t that lucky, and you have questions about gender identity, here’s a great cheat sheet. The more we know, the better we are.
A WRITING PROMPT FOR YOU: If you were a scientist on Mars, what would you want to spend payload weight on to celebrate Thanksgiving?

September 25, 2015 at 8:23amPayload considerations and all, I’d pick the biggest turkey feather I could find. C’mon, there’s NOTHING more important than payload $$$!
Thanks for the Selby shoutout. You know he named his son Jamison, don’t you?
