Happy Advent! Even if you don’t celebrate Christmas of any kind, this is the final lead-up to the Winter Solstice, the shortest day and longest night of the year. After this, it gets colder, but the winter is born but to die. So, yay!
This is the first of the month, so I have a new Hot Flash on my Hot Flashes page. Go read it. I’ll wait.
Here is another found poem from our local paper.

FYI,
a street is for public traffic.
Now, if your friends
are going to double park
to block the road
and you’re going to sit there
with your boyfriend
yacky-yacking,
you just go ahead.
But, honey,
there’s people that don’t care
if you’re there,
and we’ll call the cops on this.
Just go get a room
and let people use the road
like they’re supposed to.
I’m posting at Fatal Foodies today about a delicious and super-easy cauliflower dish.
A WRITING PROMPT FOR YOU: A character sees someone sitting double-parked in a car.
