The Meanness of MaMA #Caturday

the queenAmidala speaking.

MaMA can be good and sweet, and she makes a warm, soft bed on which I sleep, but sometimes she’s so mean!

She will not let me prowl on the kitchen table in peace, for instance. Every time she comes into the kitchen while I’m exploring the table, she shouts and makes me get down.

And she won’t let me play with any good toys.

Here is what I want to play with.

Fun toys.

And here are the toys she tries to make me play with.

I grant you, she will let me play with pens and pencils, unless she’s actually trying to write with them, in which case she selfishly keeps them to herself. But she won’t let me play with the electronics ever at all!

She even puts her electronics away when she’s finished with them, so I can’t play with them, even if she isn’t using them. How mean is that? I might just bite her again!

A WRITING PROMPT FOR ANIMALS: What does your human NOT let you play with?

MiMi could teach her about stealing things and then hiding them from the humans.

    Hey, MA!
Guess what? My Little Fox showed up for breakfast this morning! She let me pick her up and squeeze her little round head and everything. She even let me make her roll over by rubbing her belly. Though she did say, “Meeps!” to that one and rolled right back up.

Seems to me I’ve seen interactive cat apps for touch=enabled devices. Or maybe that was just cat videos with over-indulged kitties. !!

Yay for Little Fox!! I think you’re right about the app. Long, long ago, I had a desktop app of a cat that would chase the cursor, lie down and go to sleep with gentle snores when the cursor was still longer than x seconds, and would purr when you ran the cursor over it. I had to delete the app because it was too distracting!

The Intern got a smart phone for her birthday and immediately downloaded a virtual kitty.

Haha, our kitten one would be all, “Yummy bamboo plant!” and “Mmm, dirty socks!” and of course, “OMG thread/ribbons/string!”

Hahahahah bad mama! Who want’s to play with the boring stuff. It’s just like my daughter, she would rather play with laptop mouse or something that makes me productive vs actual toys made for kids!

I can remember snubbing a new toy and playing with the box it came in, so I guess I can’t complain! πŸ˜€
