Sweetie Pie Shelved #Caturday

Sweetie Pie Turner here, blogging for my mom’s daughter, MomGoth.

One of my favorite places to hang out is on the bottom shelf of this bookcase that my mom uses for a plant stand.

So I ask myself: Am I pretending to be a book, or a plant?

sweetiepieshelvedHmmm….

FEED ME, SEYMOUR!
FEED ME, SEYMOUR!

Guess that settles it. I’m a plant!

A WRITING PROMPT FOR ANIMALS: Do you have a special place you like to hang out? Are you allowed to be there, or do you have to sneak?

Yeah, books don’t require nearly enough attention.

I’ve never stepped in a web hairball hacked up by a book, either.

I feel certain that my animals most enjoy perching where they are in my way. Underfoot in the kitchen, on the sink while I primp, between me and the tv, chins over a book, across my wrapping paper, on the quilt I’m stitching…

OH, yes. Always up in your grill, unless you need them for something.

    Laser eyes!

The question of favorite spots is very time-relative here at chez Jane.
It also strongly correlates with exactly where the other cat now wishes to hang out.
Also:..if the place is especially appealing, there WILL be scuffles!

Miss Tiffany always followed the sun. And me. 🙂 She was a snuggler. The problem came when two snugglers wanted the same lap at the same time. Then, as you say, scuffles. When cats fight over you, it’s both irritating and gratifying, unless it’s literally over you. Then it’s just irritating. And possibly bloody.

Yeah, a couple nights ago, I awoke to a scene from Lying Tigers, Growling Kitties. Squirrel was sleeping on my side (as was I); there were sudden growls, feinting lunges, then Goober was sailing over me one way, and Squirrel launched off me to sail in the other direction. More growls, plus a yowl from me. That launch left marks! Another overhead leap (Goober maybe?), then two bed shakes as the babies launched off to race down the hall. Growling.
