Okay. Thursday Doors, in case you don’t know, is the brainchild of photographer extraordinaire Norm Frampton. Go to his page, look at his wonderful posts, click on the blue frog link at the bottom, and find links to other Thursday Doors posts from around the world.
A relatively new business in Corydon, Indiana is the Indian Creek Market. Here’s the facade of the building, which is beautiful stone.
Here’s the door, itself. It absolutely kills me. The side panels are chalkboard, and every day they post their specials and their soup-of-the-day on them. I don’t know why that makes me so absurdly happy, but it does, and I take my absurd happiness anywhere I can find it.
Indian Creek, by the way, is a creek that runs through and around Corydon. There are two branches: Indian Creek and Little Indian Creek, and the tiny offshoot, Brush Heap Creek, which runs near our house, parallel to Big Indian Road.
I suspect there may have been Indians in the area at some point.
Some enterprising and civic-minded folk have been making walking trails along the creek, kind of like San Antonio’s Riverwalk only totally not. Here’s their website, and below is a map of the trails.

Your writing prompt makes me smile, because my own nature walk is very short. I peek around the my front door, take a few deep breaths (to see how cold it is today), and then shut the door again. (of course, this is for a person who lives surrounded by forest).

December 2, 2016 at 7:36amYour nature walk sounds like mine, Jesh — and I live in the woods! I do walk up the drive to my Mom’s, and I do walk 1000 yards to the mailbox (sometimes!). The only time I penetrate the woodland is in the spring, when I hunt mushrooms.
