Sweetie Pie in the Stretch #Caturday

Sweetie Pie Turner here, MomGoth’s mom’s cat.

MomGoth’s phone broke — the one with the camera in it. I was afraid she would think I broke it, since I play with it sometimes when she’s here. But she said there’s this cat named Pesky Mister Putin who people are saying hacks things up over the interwebs. So I think she thinks he did it.

Anyway, she took this picture of my with her old camera that doesn’t do anything except take pictures. She says Charlie calls it her PhD camera: It doesn’t have any settings; you just point it and Push here, Dummy. PhD.

MomGoth says, “Why don’t you turn sideways, so you’ll be out of the way?” I don’t answer, because it’s rude to speak with your mouth full. Besides, if you speak with your mouth full, some of the food always falls out and you have to pick it up again all soggy. Ick.

So then she says, “Can’t you stretch out a little more, Slick? You left a little room for me to get by.”

Well, I stretched as far as I could, but this was the best I could do and still get to my food. I was sorry to disappoint her, but I think she understands I did my best. She sang me one of her special songs, anyway. I think it’s called Make Like A Lemur, because she always says that first. Then she sings:

“You got to move it, move it. You got to move it, move it.” Sometimes she dances.

We have fun.

She got a new camera/phone. She says she’ll show me how to use it as soon as she figures it out, herself. Wheeeee!

Sweetie Pie is right about the soggy food – ick.

MiMi likes to sit in the middle of a step, about three steps down from the top. You have to walk around her.

Oh, yes, that’s the best! And walking right in front of you and stopping randomly.

My personal favourite is the figure 8. It’s like wearing cat-shaped shackles. Perfect for nose-dives at unexpected moments. -rolls eyes-

Oh, yes! Sweetie Pie doesn’t do that one; she just stops parallel to your path and leans against your shins. She’s a slim, trim, 15 pounds of big cat, so that’s a considerable stopping power. I call it the Tanya Harding maneuver.

Squirrel’s sitting in my lap right now, and she was riveted by the video! She says thanks!
