Three Cats and Some Critters #Caturday

Sweetie Pie Turner, MomGoth’s mom’s cat, back online.

Mom and MomGoth got over being mad at me for running outside. In fact, MomGoth flipped over my scratching pad to give me a new surface. She even rubbed some catnip into it, so it looks like we’re friends again.

MomGoth walked up the road and met a new cat. He’s the brother of Annie, the friendly dog who lives up there. See if you can find him in this picture. His name is Ivan.

A friend of Mom’s gave her a poinsettia for Christmas. MomGoth went downstairs and brought up a stand for it. Since there were lots of shelves, she put the statue of my late brother, Ozzie, on it, and a rounded river rock painted to look like a fox. Mom has a bunch of stuffed critters, since MomGoth buys her one every time she (Mom) goes into the hospital. So they’re on there, too.

Yes, that’s me, right in front of my brother. Wherever he is, I am, too. I didn’t like him much when he was alive, because he was a BIG PEST, but I miss him, now that he isn’t here to aggravate me.

And don’t tell MomGoth to be sure I don’t eat the poinsettia leaves; I won’t even eat TUNA, I certainly don’t want to eat old dry leaves!

I’m glad to see you guys made up. The dry leaves wouldn’t be a temptation but MiMi would need to climb that shelf. Some things might have to be “relocated” in the process.

Sweetie Pie isn’t a climber or a jumper. She likes being low to the ground, except during that flea infestation; then she stayed off the carpet as much as possible. Now, if Ozzie were still around, he’d be … well, he’d be on the floor, because he would have tried to climb to the top shelf and the whole thing would have gone over.

Good choice for the poinsettia. I never had a cat that ate plants until I got this damned precious, lovable kitten. Now that adorable bastard has taught Clara to eat plants and I am not the least bit angry about it.

I wonder why cats love being up high so much. Ivan certainly looks happy. 🙂

I think it’s because it gives them a good view of who might be sneaking up on them and of who might be wandering around being carelessly good to eat.
