I went to visit my friend Joy, about which more anon, and found a plethora of doors! A plethora!
She wasn’t there when I first got there, but somebody was.
In case you can’t see him, try this one:
Here’s the porch and a side door.
And around front, with some super paving.
This one, with glass panels WHICH SHE MADE.
This one, which is the coolest stairwell door I ever saw. You can’t see it, but Joy, an artist, has painted a mural up the wall inside there.
And this awesomesauce piece of furniture. What is that, an armoire, or a secretary, or what?
Back outside, here are a couple of barn doors, the shadow of an arch, and a birdhouse door.
Here’s the arch, and another birdhouse.
This has been part of the ever-lovin’ Norm Frampton’s Thursday Doors link-up. Go to Norm’s page, take a gander at his doors, click on the blue frog link at the bottom of his post, and visit more doors. Add your own, if you got ’em!
A WRITING PROMPT FOR YOU: Write about a birdhouse.

March 9, 2017 at 8:45amThese are beautiful doors. I may need a set of stairway doors, if I ever finish our 2nd floor. I like the look of those. I also love that piece of furniture – whatever you call it 🙂

March 9, 2017 at 8:47amI never saw or thought of stairway doors with glass in them, but I sure like them! Pictures, when it happens!

March 9, 2017 at 9:04amWhat a beautiful house and furnishings, Marian. That stained glass is wonderful. The stairway doors remind me of my grandparents’ farm house. They, of course, didn’t have anything but a plain door, but in their house, the upstairs wasn’t heated, so the door kept the cold air upstairs. When we’d stay, it didn’t take us long to get dressed and downstairs in the mornings! 🙂

March 9, 2017 at 12:14pmI hear you, Janet! I can remember staying at my great-grandparents’, where the pot-bellied stove kept the downstairs warm, but we huddled under the covers upstairs. And getting up to use the chamber pot? Just no. Mind over bladder.

April 6, 2017 at 3:06pmI love that piece of furniture in your seventh photo from the top. It has really great detail in the carving. Did you ever decide what to call it?

April 7, 2017 at 8:00amI’m calling it “that shelfy thing just inside the door at Joy’s house.” 😀
