Tipper and the Squeam #Caturday

Hi there! I’m Tipper Allen, and guess what? I’m trying to teach Momma how to hunt bugs.

I’m really really good at it. I started showing her, as soon as I got here. Bemember when I was hunting the ladybug?

Well, I still hunt them, when they come in, but I don’t see them much anymore. Maybe I scareded them all away. Sometimes we get beetles or giant skeeters, or flies, or ‘piders, and I catch them and eat them, and Momma calls me Renfield. Momma teams up with me on wopses. I spot ’em and she catches ’em in a plastic cup and puts ’em out.

But my very most favorite is a kind of bug Momma calls a squeam ’cause they make her squeamish. Poppa says it’s either a millipede or a thousand-legger. They’re so much fun! They move all wiggly and fast. Momma thinks I want her to put them out like she does the wopses, so I don’t get to play with them very long, if she catches me.

I tried to show her and Poppa how much fun they are. I killed one and bit it in half so it couldn’t get away from them. Then I tucked half of it into Poppa’s trousers he puts on to do yard work in, and I stuck the other half onto one of my whiskers and tickled Momma’s face with it and woke her up.

Wow! Was she excited! She jumped up and yelled like it was the greatest thing ever!

It didn’t teacher her anything. The next time I found one, she put it out. Squeamish.

Here’s a picture of me playing, but Momma blurred out the picture of the squeam. If you want to see it, click on the picture and it’ll show you the unedited version.

A WRITING PROMPT FOR ANIMALS: What’s the most excited your hooman ever got when you woke them up? What did you do to make them that enthusiastic?

Good job Tipper. Sorta. I could do without cats bringing anything to me as a present. Lately, MuMu has been visiting me in the morning when she’s trying to hack up a hairball. I’d be fine sleeping through that.

No, you don’t want to sleep through a hairball hack. That’s a good way to start the morning by stepping in it. Or having it hacked up ON YOU.

I don’t know anybody I’d rather talk like than The Joey. Oh, man, I’m telling you, when I woke up and the foreground was filled with a squeam dangling over my mouf, I ’bout perished where I lay.

Oh I know. In my last Indiana home, I killed the most of them over my bed šŸ™

A cat of many talents, Tipper. šŸ™‚ Mine only catch moths and skinks. And the odd mouse…which they bring in through the dog door…

Even the odd mouse — even the very oddest mouse — would have been preferable to that squeam. UGH!
