Tipper and the Llergies #amwriting @StoryADayMay #Caturday

Hi, there! I’m Tipper Allen, and guess what? When I got back from being a hero in the Wild West, I found a big adventure right here. (I’m just pretending. I never really left home. I like it here, and Momma and Poppa would miss me. But I’m writing stories on Caturday for Story A Day May. Momma writes the rest of them.)

Tipper and the Llergies

by Marian Allen

When Tipper got home from being a hero in the old West, he was just in time. It was Spring in the Ohio River Valley, and ebbybody was getting attacked by the ebil llergies! Tipper’s Momma’s eyes were almost swolded shut and she was crying and blowing her nose. It was also because she was so sad when he was gone and so happy when he came back. But it was a llergy, too.

Tipper got right to work, tracking those llergies down.

First, he hunted them out of the basement. He got behind everything, wrapping his whiskers in protective cobwebs, and swept the llergies up in them. He got on top of things and had big fights with the most savagest llergies, where they knocked Poppa’s tools on the floor and made a racket.

After that, he went upstairs. Poppa keeps all the upstairs doors closed (a cat leaves a deposit on one bed – okay, two, and he gets shut out of the upstairs bedrooms!), so Tipper had to lie on the floor and stick his paw under the door. His aim is so good and his claws are so magical, all the llergies got got anyways.

The downstairs was the worst. The llergies were dancing around all over, going, “Nyah, nyah, nyah, can’t get me!”

Tipper showed them! He got up on the counters and tables and bookcases and made the llergies get on the floor. His Momma and Poppa cheered him, whenever they saw him on something. All that cheering embarrassed him, so he just chased the llergies off and jumped down real quick.

Now all the llergies were on the floor. Tipper ran all over and back and forth until the llergies got dizzy and fell over dead!

Every morning, Tipper practices chasing llergies by asking his Momma to make the Red Dot run all over. Sometimes, he hides under a corner of the couch cover and springs like a white panther out of the jungle! Sometimes, he spots a llergy hiding on the back of Momma’s leg, and he jumps and throws his paws around Momma’s ankle and bits the llergy off. Momma cheers. ’Specially when he does it four or five times, ’cause those ankle llergies are hard to kill.

Our first cat, Oreo, used to love to kill the things hanging on the back of my ankle. He would wait outside the bedroom door and attack at first sight. Good job Tipper. Pay no attention to the screams, you’re on a mission.

Cats are so good to us, aren’t they? What would we do without their courage? Save on bandages, for one thing.

I have my worst llergies in the fall and I get so miserable. It’s really nice of Tipper to work so hard for you!

He’s such a good boy! My arms and ankles are sometimes bloody with the llergy attacks that Tipper has stopped.

Meeka, I doubt he could stay awake that long. Fierce hero kitties need a lot of rest, you know. 😀

Ah yes, tuckered-out-hero-syndrome. I know it well. Have one fast asleep on the desk next to mine. 🙂
