Slurpy Summer Salad

Oh, man, I can do without the heat and the humidity, but I love summer. Because fresh food! For instance, this salad.

Two kinds of fresh tomato, pan-crisped sage leaves, topped with a glop of blue cheese dressing.

It doesn’t look slurpy now, but it left a residue of tomato/cheese/sage liquid that was too heavenly not to spoon up. Oh, all right: You know I picked up the dish and drank that nectar, don’t you?

Slurping up the left over Balsamic vinegar in my salad bowl, and the milk in my cereal bowl. 🙂 I love fresh off the vine tomatoes!

Not sure about those fried sage leaves though. I’ve never even heard of that being done to them til now!

I really like ’em, Deborah! I like ’em done in olive oil, though, not in a dry pan, as I did these. Charlie has been having trouble with oils lately, so I’m trying to cut back. These wanted a touch of oil and salt, though.
