CoryDoors — Off The Grid #ThursdayDoors

There’s a new/old place in town! New, because a restaurant just opened there. Old, because it’s in an old log cabin that was moved into town some years ago (within my time of residency — no, not THAT long ago — shut up).

The place is call Off the Grid and Grill, which seems slightly odd to me, but I suppose it’s meant to be a parallel construction: Our place looks like it’s off the grid and our food is off the grill. Neither statement is true, but oh well. Unless they mean their food is off the grill as in “not cooked on a grill”.

Overthinking: I can haz.

ANYWAY, I stopped in for a fly-by doorscursion, what I’m gonna hereby dub a doorflurry. I ‘splain the pictures in the captions.

Thursday Doors is the brainchild of Norm Frampton, photographer extraordinaire. Go to his website, see his wonderful pictures, click on the blue frog link at the end, and enter a world of doors.

Lovely photos, old style and old stuff AND Yuengling on tap – who could ask for anything more?

I know, right? The food seems quite pricey — $7 for an appetizer of fried green tomatoes — but I don’t know if it’s value for money. Someday, I will find out.

Gotta love old timber homes like this. It’s great that they preserved and are making good use of the place.
Love the gnomes too. Hey, someone’s gotta keep an eye on the place 😉

Gnomes, rockers on the porch, swinging doors and, I have no idea, what Yuengling is but it sounds like it drinks well! Loads of character in your new place in town!

Yuengling is a delicious lager (beer) that Dan Antion put me onto. 🙂

I know! I must go! Charlie says we can go for our anniversary. Usually, his anniversary gift to me is to suggest we go out to eat; my gift to him is to say, “Let’s stay home.” I love to go out. He hates to.
