Tipper Helps More #Caturday

Hi there! I’m Tipper Allen, and guess what? I only bited Momma a few times this week, and only for fun, not bloody. Like, when she gets up and has coffee before she feeds me, I jump at her feet and go, “Feed me now or I eat this foot!” And den she laughs and drinks her coffee and feeds me.

But we lub each odder. Like dis.

So you see that calkalater behind me? Momma uses it. She says it helps her balance her checkbook, but I nebber see her balancing anything, not on her nose, or on her head, or anywhere. But she says she does, so maybe she does it someplace else.

I wanted to help her do the balancing thing, and maybe she would do it for me because it sounds cool. So I helpded her.

Push ALL THE THINGS.

Momma says that, when Granny was younger, she could balance a checkbook standing on her head. So I tried that.

Push all the things UPSIDE DOWN.

Okay, see those scissors next to the calkalater? Those are my claw clippers. Momma clips my claws for me, and it only takes a minute and it looks really easy, so I thought maybe I could save Momma some time and do it myself.

Dis not werking.

Momma says I couldn’t do it ’cause I don’t have a posable fum. I asted her to get me one for Christmas and she said she would put it on my Santa list. Yay!

A WRITING PROMPT FOR ANIMALS: Would you like to have a posable fum? What would you do wif it?

It’s so nice if you to want to help, Tipper. A cat that trimmed his own claws would be a joy to have. Love-bites don’t count as real bites. You can keep doing those.

-giggles- Tipper should try standup comedy. I think he’d be rather good. 😀

He doesn’t stand up long enough. He’d have to do flop-on-his-side comedy. 😀

Precious. I particularly like the lubbin.
I’d like to inform Tipper that it’s crucial to add the deposits before freaking out about the balance. There’s a male animal in my house, a furry but bald one, who works in finance, but often forgets to add the deposits. Otherwise, he’s done a good job for years now. I don’t miss it, having done it for 16 years, and not once on my head.
My first kitty of my very own, I’d clip her claws, too. She was a good kitty. She wasn’t destructive, and she liked her scratching posts and boxes and fings. These other cats are not like her, and at the risk of being turned into the authorities, I confess, they’ve been declawed. Some people judge me about it. Many people saw the destruction and it changed their minds. *sigh* Anyway, Tipper is a good kitty and I’m glad he lets you clip his nails.

Tipper has done a certain amount of destruction. I got some stuff that’s supposed to discourage scratching on furniture, and it SEEMS to be working. He ignores his scratching box, even though I rub catnip into it. I’m trying to draw his attention to it by making the Red Dot play on it. As for declawing, I’m not a fan, but you gotta do what you gotta do. No judging. If my choices were get rid of the claws or get rid of the cats, and I couldn’t find homes for them, I’d declaw. I mean, I neutered Tipper, and that’s a much more personal deprivation than declawing!

        Thanks for not judging.
It was Catticus who was super destructive — mostly to trim, mouldling, and banister in our Army housing. (!!!) I’m talkin replacement, wood putty, and almost all new paint once he was altered. Not to mention Moo will forever look like she had heart surgery. 🙁 The vet advised me to get the others declawed at the same time (cut me a deal) since they were young, and it would reduce dominance issues. I know my MIL wouldn’t have let my FIL take Casey if she’d had claws, so that worked out. Clara’s the real vicitm. :/ Cletus was like Catticus — You may have seen my wallpaper? I didn’t share the door he tried to kill. (Now refinished) From personal experience, I’ve inferred male kitties are much worse in the I’ll-scratch-as-I-please department. As such, when these cats have all crossed the rainbow bridge, I will only have females.

Poor li’l Clara! The women always suffer for the men! My girl Tiffany was a hellion for clawing furniture. Charlie made her be an outside cat to save our stuff until she got old enough for us to catch.
