The Red Yeti #ThursdayDoors

The Kentuckiana Authors had us another Book Blitz on Spring Street in Jeffersonville, Indiana. We were again at 300 Spring, pretty much at the Indiana end of the walking bridge that spans the Ohio River from Louisville to Indiana. I didn’t get a picture of the bridge. I was busy drinking eating selling books. Maybe next year.

Here’s the front door, for use by the patrons.

And the back door, for use by us vendors. Light fixture porn for Joey.

Down the street one way is Horner Novelty, a party supplies store. They carry costumes of all sorts, paper products, gift bag toys, decorations, and so on, for any reasonable occasion. I’m sorry to say they appear always heavy on the Halloweeny stuff. “Sorry” because I detest the gruesome and the stereotyping of witches. That puts me pretty much on the wrong side of Halloween.

ANYWAY, they have nice frontage.

And we were on the same page as to my browsing their aisles.

The rock says, “STAY AWAY”. Roger that.

NOW. The last time I went to 300 Spring, I did not go into The Red Yeti, the farm-to-table restaurant across the street. This time, I did.

A fine time was had by all. Oh, yeah, and we sold some books, too.

I was born in Louisville, Kentucky, but now live in the woods in southern Indiana. Though I only write fiction, I love to read non-fiction. The more I learn about this world, the more fantastic I see it is.

Lurve the light fixtures! Lurve! I’d put those on my house, I would!
Not eaten at The Red Yeti. I think I should. Farm to in my belly! 🙂
    Great doors!

One of our number complained about the fancy-schmancy: Couldn’t just have a brisket sammich; hadda have a fancy pickle and a fancy onion. They turned out to be nice touches, though. Not just fancy for the schmancy.

I have to go with the Red Yeti this week, Marian! Sounds as though you had fun. As for Halloween, I’m not much for it and I definitely don’t want to go in any of the seasonal and huge Halloween stores. 🙂

Yeah, I volunteered to take some promotional material down there; #4 Daughter went with me and led me over to the cashier, since I had my eyes squinched closed. People’s inside bits need to stay on their insides where they belong, not be hanging down their faces and stuff. Have they never heard of germs or what??

The Red Yeti sounds like a good place to beer. It’s good to see that others are on the lookout for Joey Fixtures.

Fun stuff. Any place called the Red Yeti is my kinda spot, plus they went the extra mile and put out an actual statue: bonus!
Though I wonder if he stays out overnight or gets brought in before closing to keep the local teenagers from getting “creative” with him 😉

Haven’t been here, because of lack of time. Always good to sell some of your books! And love the cool cross walk:)

Spring Street in Jeffersonville is one of my favorite places although, like you, lack of time keeps me away. 🙂

When a door or shop has a statue.
Apparently there is power to attract people.

      That’s funny, but it’s true! Whether it’s of a horse, a pig, or a person — or a Yeti!
