Two For the Price of One

Two “recipes” today, if you can call what I post recipes.

The summer is winding down, and so is the farmers market, alas! but we scored some lovely green beans, picked young, the way we like our green beans. I had some left-over Jasmine Rice, so I parboiled the whole beans, drained off the water, and put the rice in the pan with them, along with some vegan margarine and Jane’s Crazy Mixed-Up Salt.

That’s the tag end of a fresh tomato and a salmon burger.

The other “recipe” is for that cocktail. Take two or three shakes of bitters and add a small splash of hazelnut syrup (for flavoring coffee, for instance). Put in as much bourbon as you like. Top it up with ginger ale and squeeze half a clementine into it. It doesn’t have a name, insofar as I know, so let’s call it The MomGoth. Go into your friendly neighborhood bar and ask for one by name and see what kind of Look it gets ya.

A WRITING PROMPT FOR YOU: Your character walks into a bar. Take that as literally as you like.

I’ll take a MomGoth, please. Over ice. Stirred, not shaken.

Marian, it sounds YUM, thank you! I especially like the cocktail myself – always can use a good cocktail recipe! I will be trying it for sure.

Yes, Chad, I love a good cocktail. The first time I had a Mimosa, I thought I’d died and gone to heaven. lol
