I forget what this building is now, but it usetabe a bank. I didn’t get much of a door shot, because some pesky hard-worker was inna way, washing the door windows.
On the other hand, I did manage a shot of the back-to-the-futureish clock, some architectural detail, AND a light fixture for Joey. Priorities.
I also took a shot of the night deposit slot, which I hereby designate an honorary door. Besides, look at that ‘flection of Indiana’s first state capitol building. Or, no, I think that’s the toolshed. Something historical-looking, and picturesque anyway.
No, pretty sure that’s the capitol building. The toolshed looks pretty much like it, only smaller. But the toolshed doesn’t have a chimney, so…. Always good to have a native show you around, yes?

April 26, 2018 at 8:55amYou had me at columns 🙂
I think it’s one of the reasons why I love old bank buildings. Banks and government agencies were the only ones who could afford columns 😉

April 26, 2018 at 9:56amI’ll have to remember to look out for columns for you. Isn’t it funny how we have favorite architectural elements? That tickles me.

April 26, 2018 at 11:34amOld banks are winners in my book, too. That is a very traditional bank light! So plantation style! And it really is a Back To The Future kinda clock, isn’t it? Like that depository door, too. Great collection today!

April 26, 2018 at 12:32pmI like old banks. Back when they built them to look like a safe place to put your money. Today’s banks are anemic by comparison.
And night deposit doors were quite the little bit of engineering – you just can’t see it.

April 27, 2018 at 9:01amYeah, for a while, banks were very intimidating. I like that in a place that’s holding money for me.

April 26, 2018 at 10:47pmI love the reflection, and the building looks like it’s stunning with it’s colonial architecture. I love that style.
FYI, I am milking the book I bought that you wrote. I’m on chapter 23. Grant just arrived, and Corrie is as looney as ever. I hope Mitch has a good time away for the night. 🙂
