Sweetie Pie Turner-Allen here. I don’t know where Mom has gone. MomGoth says she isn’t coming back, and it looks like she’s right. I’ve waited in the house for months and months. MomGoth and Mr. MomGoth came in twice a day to feed me and clean my litter box, but I get so lonely.
So MomGoth brought me here to her house again. Her horrible cat, Tipper, doesn’t want me here, but I don’t want him here, either, so we’re even.
MomGoth has given me the best room in the house — her office/bedroom — and makes Tipper stay out. All he has is the rest of the house and the basement.
Every so often, I run out into the rest of the house. Then Tipper and I growl and hiss at each other, and Mr. MomGoth gets a broom and encourages me to run back into my room.
MomGoth took a picture of Tipper when she told him I was here to stay:

April 14, 2018 at 10:11amI hope Sweetie Pie and Tipper eventually make nice. Tipper looks so cute in the “oh, no you’ve got to be kidding me” picture.

April 15, 2018 at 8:14amI’m using that picture as my phone wallpaper. I hope they learn to get along, too, but they’re still hissing when they glimpse each other.

April 14, 2018 at 4:35pmIf we could only explain. But that’s the loss: when you have pets, you are responsible and you can’t explain.
I hope kitty will adjust, somehow, as a mother elephant does when her calf doesn’t make it. Eventually, life forces other options, and can’t be denied.
Missing my furball a bit, but I’m sure she’s getting a lot more attention – and just as good food. Because I sent oodles of all her favorites.

April 15, 2018 at 8:16amSweetie Pie seems to be adjusting to her new home, as long as I keep the door closed between her territory and Tipper. I hope Gizzy is adjusting. It sounds like you found the perfect new people for her.

April 14, 2018 at 6:29pmThey will in time get used to each other, if given BRIEF periods of time together every so often.
Now they are most sensitive to love, so must be shown that they are both equally loved.
Cats are not dumb. They ARE stubborn.

April 15, 2018 at 8:19amLOL! Truer words about cats were never spoken! Right now, I’m letting Sweetie Pie feel safe in her Tipperless room. Tipper gets to snuggle me while I’m working on the laptop, and Sweetie Pie gets to sleep next to me. I see my current job as establishing a place that Sweetie Pie can consider “her” particular territory, so she can retreat there if Tipper gets too rambunctious.

April 14, 2018 at 6:52pmAh Sweetie PIe. I’m so glad to see you again. I know things are not the way they were, but give it time, you may even get to like Tipper eventually. He’s got a good heart. -big hugs-

April 15, 2018 at 8:22amIt would probably be easier on both of them if they were closer in age, but Tipper just turned two and Sweetie Pie is eleven. So, even if they didn’t fight over territory, he would want to play and she wouldn’t. Can’t be helped. If they have to have a door between them forever to keep them happy, that’s how it’ll have to be.

April 14, 2018 at 8:20pmOh bless. It’s a tough time, isn’t it? I sure hope peace comes sooner rather than later. Y’all deserve peace. I love Tipper’s anguish photo, lol!

April 15, 2018 at 8:22amYeah, a lot of trauma, and the poor cats aren’t spared, but they don’t understand it. Poor li’l bubs.

April 15, 2018 at 4:39pmIt is MUCH tougher on the human. The cats, well, they do what cats do.
Women and cats will do as they do, and men and dogs should just listen. Heinlien.
