Winning with Kindness and Squeaky Shoes #FridayRecommends

Friday RecommendsFirst, congratulations to Joanna Foreman, one of Per Bastet‘s treasured authors (we treasure all our authors!) for winning Imaginarium’s 2018 Imadjinn award for Best Thriller Novel for her RIVERWALK CHAMELEON! We’re so proud of our author, and I’m so proud of my friend! There’s a special kind of happy that happens when you’ve followed a book from its first draft through publication. 🙂

Here is another happy, a brief talk from a woman whose life was invaded by the British press, who conquered the problem with humor and kindness.

And this little girl who can’t stay mad.

I need a pair of those sometimes.

A WRITING PROMPT FROM ME TO YOU: Write about something that makes you happy. If you have a book or a work in progress, write about something that makes each of your characters happy.

Um…this is going to sound so stupid but…is Per Bastet /your/ publishing company???? I did see it in your sidebar but assumed you were just published by them.
Sorry, I can be really thick at times. Anyway, congratulations. 🙂

That’s not stupid–you just missed the post where I said. Yes, T. Lee Harris, the amazing Sara Marian, and I are co-owners/managers of Per Bastet Publications, LLC. We publish our own books (also have books/stories published with other publishers) and we also publish other people’s books. 🙂

Oh! lol I knew it was possible to have your own, proper publishing company, but I haven’t/hadn’t come across anyone until now. I love the idea that you and your daughter work together like that. Bravo!
