My Deal Me In deck turned up hearts this week, so I went to East of the Web. The story I read was another by an author I didn’t know:
Too Late
by Sara Loitz
A little girl carves a face on a tree outside her bedroom window. As years pass, they both mature, neither certain which one is the voyeur.
An amazing amount of material is implied in the space of two short pages. Well done, Sara Loitz!
Sara Loitz is a writer, illustrator, marathon napper, book hoarder, and bubble tea enthusiast. She hails from the sunny shores of the San Francisco Bay Area, where she spends most of her time contriving new ways to avoid the sunlight.

It’s such a loaded phrase.
Interesting story. Thanks.

November 28, 2018 at 7:33amIt doesn’t do you any good to search for titles. I didn’t find FORCE OF HABIT before I published it (now out of print), but another book with that same title came out from a bigger publisher at the same time mine was released. *sigh*
