So we had a great time at the Magna cum Murder mystery festival, as we always do. Unfortunately, they were renovating the floor below our rooms, and something irritated my delicate tissues and I picked up a cold.
All together, now:
Awwwwwwwww!
Shut up.
ANYWAY, I was working on this cold, so I was kind of there/notthere, and I didn’t follow this whole exchange, nor did I get the woman’s name. Alas. I’ll see her next year, and I’ll get it then. Then I’ll forget it, because that is how my brain do.
So this woman got into the elevator packing a big box of books. Somebody said something to her. Maybe they were joking (because we all love each other at Magna, and we all know this) about how much room the books were taking up in the elevator, maybe they were kidding her about how glum she looked; I don’t remember; I only remember she barked back her reply with perfect force and entitlement. We used the reply on all occasions for the rest of the festival:
HEY! I’M LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE!

A WRITING PROMPT FROM ME TO YOU: Write a scene in an elevator. OR, what’s the funniest thing you ever saw/heard/experienced in an elevator?

October 30, 2019 at 8:03amOh that’s a good one. Some people do think they rule the world, don’t they? I, of course, am the real Little Miss Sunshine so I know those people are wrong! 😉

October 30, 2019 at 8:43amWhat made it so wonderfully funny was that it was all in the best of humor, no matter how it might appear. Everybody’s beloved family at Magna, so the challenge to her and her grumpy response were both taken in good spirits. But I’m pleased to know you, the REAL Little Miss Sunshine, and humble and proud to have you commenting on my blog. 😀
