About

I was born in Louisville, Kentucky, but now live in the woods in southern Indiana. Though I only write fiction, I love to read non-fiction. The more I learn about this world, the more fantastic I see it is.

Hi Marian. Very nice! I blog myself with occasional samples — I call them “lagniappes” — of stories (usually linked, like yours are) or poems just copied into the text, but nothing of this magnitude. Thanks for sharing on the Short Mystery site. (I’m a dark fantasy/horror writer myself, short stories and poetry, with occasional forays into mystery and science fiction. A couple of collections, the latest a book of vampire poetry, plus individual pubs from Alfred Hitchcock’s to Xenophilia and The Yellow Bat Review.)

James, my #1 grandson loves horror, though he’s a Lovecraftian Mythos and Zombie man, rather than vampire.

Thank you so much for dropping by and commenting! Always proud to meet a fellow southern Hoosier. 🙂

Marian, I love your website. Your writing workshop was one of the best classes I have ever taken; in fact I still have all my notes! LOL.

I like Holiday. Will you be expanding on it in the future. I’d like to see more.

    So I’m told lol…

That story was actually based on a nightmare I had as a kid. I swear to this day I saw a witch in the window. Although I didn’t kill my parents after…
