Eel All About

Man, I am stoked! I’m here to tell you, this blog book tour was AWESOME! It made me think about my book from a lot of different angles. It introduced me to lots of interesting people and blogs I never would have known otherwise. And it’s making me look like a “real” writer to many people who may have had their doubts–mostly me, I think. 😉

Today, Bodie Parkhurst reviews EEL’S REVERENCE on Speak! Good Dog! and yesterday Karen Overturf reviewed it three times: on the Kurt Maxxon site, the Noodles From A Writer’s Journal blog, and on Amazon. Karen really wants to win her choice of prize in the contest!

WRITING PROMPT: Make a character go somewhere unaccustomed and make him/her meet new people. Does he/she want to go? Why or why not? Is it a good thing or a bad thing?

About

I was born in Louisville, Kentucky, but now live in the woods in southern Indiana. Though I only write fiction, I love to read non-fiction. The more I learn about this world, the more fantastic I see it is.

Is it over??? I was hoping to get some kind of instructions/guidelines. I think my RSVP went through via GoodReads…argh, tell me what to do. Sorry for sounding so clueless!!

FYI–you got about 60 unique hits on the interview, and we generated a great discussion. The review is pulling well, but responses aren’t as strong. We’ll know more in a few days. Bottom line, though, is that we did well for my blog–and you’re welcome back any time!

“Shhh,” she said, finger over her mouth and shaking her head. You’re not supposed to make the reviews look like they’re bought! LOL!

(they’re not, you know ~ if you couldn’t write well enough to hold my interest, I would have sent you a private message, apologizing, and never post a review!)

    Hugs! Karen

Well o’COURSE they’re bought! It’s part of the contest–one review equals five entries. But they don’t have to be GOOD reviews. lol!

Most people who write reviews either write them for books they really like or really hate. There’s one woman who has given me lukewarm reviews on a couple of my stories–not enough angst, I think. You can’t please everyone, right? But all reviews are helpful. The bad ones give us something to think about. The good ones make us glow. 🙂
