A Disappointment In High-Speed

My computer’s internet works much faster now, but my brain goes the same speed.

I just added a new category to my blogroll. Some members of the Blog Book Tour Cafe joined up for a blog-a-day challenge. I’m like, “Post every day? You mean EVERY day? You mean like I already do? Well, okay, I guess so.” [snort]

I’ve also just signed up for NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month). 50,000 words in a month. I can do it! I’ve done it before, and I’ll do it again. The last two years, I ended up with rough drafts of novels in what I hope will be a series: the Spadena Street mysteries, all set in a neighborhood of Storybook Style houses. This year, I want to rough out a third one. Then I’ll put together a series bible and start polishing the first in the series (probably the second one I wrote). It won’t hurt, when I submit it, to have the next two in the series already in rough draft.

Well, I’m off to visit my fellow BBT October bloggers. Hope you’ll do the same!

WRITING PROMPT: Promise to write a little every day. Promise to sit in front of a screen or a piece of paper for just 15 minutes a day, or promise to write 100 words a day. Then do it.

About

I was born in Louisville, Kentucky, but now live in the woods in southern Indiana. Though I only write fiction, I love to read non-fiction. The more I learn about this world, the more fantastic I see it is.

“My computer’s internet works much faster now, but my brain goes the same speed.” Mind if I steal this for my Facebook status? LOL

Good luck with NaNo – not that it sounds like you’ll need any. I’m looking forward to it, this year. I have a plan. That’s a first.
