October 5, 2010 at 12:45pmNice prompt. Now you’ve got me wondering if a character could find a recipe for a despicable magical chant on the web by accident. [I’m a pessimist so the results would never be good though the character might find a way to triumph.]

October 5, 2010 at 6:26pmBy accident or deliberately. My short story “Seeking Shadow” had a character go looking for a white witchcraft “recipe” for finding her daughter’s lost cat. So why not have one turn up a bad one, unintentionally or on purpose? Or turn up a comment on a site that tells her somebody she knows is looking for one to use against HER? Good idea! Go for it!
