The Write Type etc.

I’m blogging today at The Write Type about the difference between a short story and a novel (quiet down, back there–“one is short” is NOT the answer) and how to go from writing one to writing the other.

And I forgot to say you saute some garlic cloves along with the onion and carrot in yesterday’s bisque. But, as I told LRLee, you either add garlic to everything or you don’t, so cooks, please yourselves. 🙂

WRITING PROMPT: A character receives a recipe with an ingredient left out. Did the person supplying the recipe leave an ingredient out on purpose? Does your character notice? Does he/she instinctively add it anyway?

About

I was born in Louisville, Kentucky, but now live in the woods in southern Indiana. Though I only write fiction, I love to read non-fiction. The more I learn about this world, the more fantastic I see it is.

I believe that garlic should be its own food group. Love that stuff.

Maybe the other person is trying to be difficult, like without butter, it will be quite difficult to bake cake.

I’ve known women to leave out ingredients on purpose so nobody could make the dish as well as they do!
