Friday Recommends

I have GOT to stop surfing the web–too much good stuff out here!

Here’s an awesome site with a wonderful name: A Moment of Science. Want to know why those birds all fell dead at once? No, it’s not because they watch FLASH FORWARD.

On Wednesday, the amazing Sara D posted about Writing a Synopsis. She posts thrice a week, M-W-F, and is well worth reading, unless she’s here passing remarks about how LAZY it is for me to do recommendations rather than original material. Bad Sara D–NO BISCUIT!

Lisa Hall posted the most usable advice yet on Tax Time for Writers over at Fatal Foodies.

Tara Cottrell Wright declares it Claudette Colvin Day. Yesterday, her post had a totally different tone, but was equally worth reading, as she gives a reasoned argument why everyone should have a teacup piggie, especially in earthquake-prone areas.

Well, that’s me for the day. Oh–I’m also posting at Echelon Explorations today on Fun With Business Cards.

WRITING PROMPT: Write a paragraph about someone who was part of a famous event but is never mentioned. I’m not sure you could use The Nativity. I’m pretty certain that one has been cleaned out, with the littlest angel and the donkey at the manger and the inn-keeper’s daughter and the other wise man. Maybe from the pov of a flea who refused to bite the Baby Jesus? Maybe not.

About

I was born in Louisville, Kentucky, but now live in the woods in southern Indiana. Though I only write fiction, I love to read non-fiction. The more I learn about this world, the more fantastic I see it is.
