A Sad Truth

There are some books I just can’t “read” in audio, not even if I’m the one doing the reading. And, apparently, there are some books I can’t read electronically. I’ve come across several since I got my eReader which have had many rave reviews, but I couldn’t finish them or, having finished them, had no idea what had happened in them.

I’ve tried to analyze what they have in common and how they differ from the many books I’ve loved when I read them by voice or by electron, but I can’t isolate either element.

Alas for me! Now I have to save my pennies to buy some physical books so I can share the joy. …Pay … money …. ~MomGoth faints~

I was born in Louisville, Kentucky, but now live in the woods in southern Indiana. Though I only write fiction, I love to read non-fiction. The more I learn about this world, the more fantastic I see it is.

Hi, I have lately been subscribing to e-reader magazines via Zinio. I like pretty mags and such, but reading the text has gotten pretty problematic for many zines. Discovery has no breaks or headers in the text to keep track of info points, AND it tends to print large sections on colored backrounds. Icch! Oh, and when you can zoom in to actually SEE the picture tags AND the pix, themselves LARGE…well, it’s great.

You may well say, Get those new glasses, girl, but, well, you know.

BTW, can you mention a particular e-book? I’d like to look it over. 🙂

It isn’t the formatting that gives me trouble. I’m not going to mention any names, because I don’t want to dis good writers just because of a mental quirk of my own. I’ll send you a sekrit messidge. 🙂

Sad to know about that and I am hoping that all things in you are working.
