June 3, 2012 at 2:13pmAshlyn, I’m not certain if my mermayd stories are fantasy or science fiction. While mermayds generally indicate fantasy, there’s no magic in this alternate-Earth, and the mermayds are biological realities in it, not supernatural creatures. Good question. I just call it “speculative fiction” and let it go at that. 🙂
