#Caturday Katya Shines On

KATYAcKatya Graymalkin here.

Mom’s friend Jo Robinson of africolonialstories gave out a bunch of awards the other day.

Mom knows how much I like to get stuff, so she gave one to me. I usually ignore the stuff Mom gives me until the middle of the night, but Mom turns off the computer at night, so I have no choice but to play along now.

shine-on-awardTHE SHINE ON AWARD
Here are the rules of the award:
1. Visit and thank the blogger who nominated you.
2. Acknowledge that blogger on your blog, and link back.
3. Share seven random, interesting things about yourself.
4. Nominate up to 15 bloggers for the Shine On Award, provide a link to their blogs in your post, and notify them on their blogs.

EVERYTHING about me is interesting, but I’ll hold myself to seven.

  1. I’m the prettiest cat in the world.
  2. I’m the smartest cat in the world.
  3. I ought to be the only cat in the world.
  4. It’s fun to pee on Charlie’s stuff.
  5. I have the best Mom in the world.
  6. Except when she gives me medicine.
  7. Chipmunks aren’t that hard to catch.

Now I’m supposed to nominate some other bloggers, but I don’t read anybody else’s blogs except Jo’s, and I only read that because she has birds on it sometimes.

Okay, here are a few that I know Mom likes. She likes about a million of them, though, which is why she doesn’t write as much as she should if she’s going to buy me as much stuff as I want.

  1. Snap Out of it Jean! There’s Beading To Be Done
  2. Cold Lake Cathy
  3. The Diesel-Electric Elephant Company
  4. Magic Dog Press (dogs! yuck!)
  5. Matilda’s Journey (Oh, I do read this one, and I like these dogs. But not in Real Life.)

That’s enough.

A WRITING PROMPT FOR ANIMALS: Do you read any blogs? Which ones, and why?

    Dear Katya,
When your Mom isn’t looking, check out on Youtube:
    The Talking Kitty Cat
His name is Sylvester, and he has a very crusty personality, but he does have a rather cute voice.

Dear Jean, I come to your blog every time you post! I don’t understand about the Blythe dolls, though; do they come without hair or something? How do you customize them? Anyway, I’m looking forward to seeing your rescue dog! The book I’m writing for NaNoWriMo has a rescue dog and rescue cat in it. 🙂 Most of our dogs and cats have been rescues.

Thank you! Our production-line elephants are dancing the dance of the ancient honoured elephant as I type, hence the wobbles… 😉

Thanks so much Katya Graymalkin! We are very flattered. We like your blog and your mom’s too. You are our favorite kitty. Mom says we are going to respond on Thursday or possibly Friday on our blog. We will be excited to let people know about you, Katya. Mom needs a little help because she still cannot figure out how to get the little patch on her page. She is always the last to figure these things out, but we love her because we don’t care about these things.

Katya wants me to tell your Mom: on my blog, put the mouse pointer over the Shine On badge. Click the right-hand button on the mouse. That will bring up a menu that has lots of possibilities on it, and one of those will be Save Image As. Click on those words. A box will pop up to let your Mom save the Shine On badge on her very own computer (tell her to pay attention to where she saves it — I’ve downloaded pictures before, and didn’t know where I saved them!). Then she can just upload it to her blog the way she does those beautiful pictures of Matilda and the two of you. 🙂

Mom says thank you! She will try that on Friday. She didn’t realize that is was that simple.
