More Invaders! Invaders Everywhere! #Caturday

Sweetie PieSweetie Pie Turner here.

My goodness, it’s getting crowded on this place! There are invaders of every sort making themselves at home.

We had a new visitor the other day — Or I probably should say that we had a visitor that we saw for the first time the other day. No telling how often he’s been around.

MomGoth took a picture of him.

groundhogIn case you don’t know, that’s a groundhog aka a woodchuck! He was in the back, at the edge of the carport, munching away at leaves like he was sitting at his own dining table. After showing off like that for a while, he walked behind the car and sneaked into the trees, probably to chuck some wood after his hearty meal.

MomGoth says I shouldn’t call this next bunch invaders, since she wanted them and brought them here. MomGoth is lonely down at her house without a kitty. I already showed you a picture of Clementine, her mechanical cat. Well, she has another one! And a duck! Her friend Ginny Fleming gave them to her. Here are all MomGoth’s mechanical pets (so far).

invadersThat’s Clementine in the middle, of course. The big white cat, which meows, purrs, yawns, wiggles her ears, turns her head, and changes position, is Coconut Fluff. The duck is Cheesy Quackers. CQ flaps his wings and quacks. MomGoth wanted me to be sure to say that she named them; don’t blame Ginny.

What a swell menagery, Sweetie Pie! You’re a very good photographer, getting them to line up and sit still and such. Thanks for sharing the woodchuck snappie. We have quite recently had such a visitor ourselves, He dashes across the road and darts between the houses. Keep your eyes peeled for your ‘chuck and see if you can’t observe him at high speed, too. Very amazing.

    Naming fur people:
I’ve had my problems at naming, what with some cats latching onto the very first thing you call them, like Litle Mommy, her Little Sissie, Whitey, Striper, Big’un, etc. Other names were more deliberate, like the series of food-sourced monikers: Peanut, Hershey, Cupcake, etc., and the descriptive: Tippy-Toe, Princess, Peach, Butters, and so on. Then ther was Forrest, who always did what his Mama said. Good boy, Forrest.

LOL! It’s easier to name mechanical ones, maybe, since they are what you imagine them to be, and real fur-people are whoever they actually are. Sometimes it takes a while to find out what that is. Tiffany was a case in point. If the people who named her could have seen into her heart, they would have named her Killer or Miss Meanface or something. If she could have pushed a button and eliminated every living creature on the planet except me, Sara, herself, and you, she would have been a happy cat.
