Authors Supporting Platypus Utilities

No, really! Okay, not really.

Authors Supporting Our Troops, really. Armand Rosamilia, an author who loves White Castle almost as much as I do, is spearheading this drive, which he and “Special Gal (the other half of the team)” began in 2014. Monetary donations are welcome, as well as author-signed books.

If you don’t follow the Diesel-Electric Elephant Company, why don’t you? I told you before that you ought to. Don’t you ever listen to me? Anyway, go read his review of LIFE IS A CIRCUS RUN BY A PLATYPUS by Allison Hawn. Bemusement runs riot.

Finally, the fabulous Vera Nazarian has taken a brief respite from writing prose that sends shivers of wonderment all up and down my aging spine in order to compile a list of what she calls Author Utilities: widgets, directories of promotion sites, book cover tools, and more. Hours of intrigue for authors, designers, artists, and readers.

A WRITING PROMPT FOR YOU: Write something with a platypus in it.

I was born in Louisville, Kentucky, but now live in the woods in southern Indiana. Though I only write fiction, I love to read non-fiction. The more I learn about this world, the more fantastic I see it is.

    What recommends!!

The platpus review sold me on two authors at once!
There’s something about super-droll English humor that can get really weighty and slow. One can imagine some fellow prosing on with terrible wit and style and yet boring one to tears by his slooow delivery and ability to expound clause after clause without pausing for breath. I was very intrigued by the reviewer’s comment that the platypus book read at a nice, regular pace and was suitable both for savoring or ripping right thorugh. I knew right away that I am going to read that book!
