Confession #Caturday

the queenAmidala speaking.

I know this will surprise you — it certainly surprises me — but it isn’t my putative brother, Munchkin, who has a confession to make, it is I.

Granny has been exceedingly unwell this week and MaMA has been with her at her house and at the hospital and only coming home now and then. When she comes home, she’s tired and just goes to bed. Charles has been taking good care of us, but he doesn’t love on us or snuggle with us.

So MaMA came home, and petted us and fed us and shut us in the basement for the night with our food and water and beds. And I went up to the gate and banged on it and banged and banged and banged!

MaMA said, “Stop it, honey. Go to bed.”

My Confession

And I said — and this is the confession; the part I’m ashamed of — I shouted, “NO!!

MaMA said, “Don’t you tell me no!”

Munchkin was standing behind a support pillar with his eyes big and a paw over his mouth. He might pee on everything that doesn’t move fast enough, but he never talks back.

I banged a few more times and grumbled, just so nobody would think I could be bossed, and went to bed mad.

The next day, I was so ashamed I couldn’t look MaMA in the eye.ConfessionShe isn’t mad at me, though, and she picked me up and carried me around and kissed my head and snuggled me.

I hope Granny gets better soon for lots of reasons, and one reason is that being lonely is making me crabby.

–Shut up, Munchkin!  –He just said, “CrabbiER.”

Tell that girl Ami that she can have long-distance pets and hugs from me any day! Munchie, too. 😉

How is Granny? On the mend, I hope.
And how is MaMA? Is she hanging in there? Give MaMa a supportive cuddle, Amidala. And, sweetie, easy up on the gate banging.

Granny is going to rehab this afternoon! Three weeks of physical, occupational, and speech (swallowing) therapy, and she’ll be home and good as new!

Amidala has been much more subdued on the gate banging since The Incident. 🙂 She’s trying to be good, but she IS a cat, after all! 😉
