The Project Progresses #amknitting

projectThe scarf project progresses. The solid bits consist of three, four, or five rows, depending on when I remembered I was supposed to do the other sort of bit. The number of stitches on the needle began as 30, but has inadvertently increased to as many as 36.

As Flanders and Swann said in one of their live concerts, when asking the audience if the sound system was working properly, “Okay for quantity? Not much we can do about the quality at this point.”

So, short of taking it all apart yet again, I’m going for quantity in this one and let quality bedamned.

When I finish with this scarf, I’m going back to doing the fluffy boa scarves. I want to get a crochet hook, though, and try crocheting one. I’m told they go much faster that way, and I’m intrigued by something that goes faster than those usually do.

Mom is due to come home in about 10 days, and I don’t know what I’m going to do for knitting time once she’s home and I’m not sitting with her while she does her therapy. I may have to sit up past 9:00 pm.

I’m posting at Fatal Foodies today about a great seitan stir fry we had. OH, so good!

A WRITING PROMPT FOR YOU: A character goes for quantity over quality.

    This scarf looks framjabulous!

I was taught the ccrochet arts by Mom. I still use the arcane method of wrapping the left fingers with the feed side of the thread, but I can only do it by muscle memory; I couldn’t desccribe it for $$$.

Glad they have a date for your ;Mom’s return. Return of the Mommy!
Sounds like a great movie title.

That’s how I knit, Jane. I expect YouTube to teach me to crochet. 🙂

It looks nice! Cool! And Blue!

The True Quality of a scarf is:
Does it perform the intended function?
Does it cover up and keep you warm?
It is joyful to look at, admire, and wear.

Is suspect this scarf WILL pass the True Quality test!

    Carry on!
