Many long years ago — going on 34, actually — I found my joy by marrying the best (IMO) man inna werld. We went to Natural Bridge Resort Park for our honeymoon. Natural Bridge was another joy, and so was (although I didn’t realize it at the time) my bridegroom’s playing The Carter Family and Uncle Dave Macon recordings.
So there are four things I found to love back then and still love today: my husband, Natural Bridge, The Carter Family, and Uncle Dave Macon.
Oh, and this:
The Joy of Mist
Natural Bridge Hemlock Lodge was right on the river, and every morning began with a thick mist that came right up to the balcony. 34 years later, any morning with a heavy fog is “A Natural Bridge morning.”
Here’s a picture of me, at the foot of Fat Man’s Misery:

March 12, 2015 at 9:17amHi and congrats on a marriage that is so good for you both!
I found the pix you sent me from the wedding.
We were two hot chicks in those days, you betcha!
Alas, my Mom in her red dress outdid me, at least, by considerable wattage! (But brides are always the prettiest girl in the room!)

Yeah, we still argue — er, discuss enthusiastically — A LOT, but we usually grin while we’re doing it, because we’ve been doing that for so long it’s funny now. heh
