Hi! Mary Lee and Leona here or, as the guys refer to us, “the wives.” I’ve been married to Tiny and Leona’s been married to Lonnie for a good part of our lives, and we’ve all been friends since we were kids.

I don’t guess it’s any secret that Lonnie isn’t my favorite person in the world. He’s always getting my Tiny into some kind of scrape or causing some kind of commotion.

Now, Mary Lee, you know I can't let that pass. My Lonnie is a good man, even though I do firmly believe the devil likes to play tricks with him. But Lonnie has a good heart. And he never gets Tiny into trouble on purpose. And he never gets Tiny into trouble but what Lonnie's in trouble, too. I mean, it's not like he does bad things and blames them on Tiny.

That’s true. I’ll give him all that. He’s got a good heart, and he sticks by Tiny once he’s dragged him into something — mostly.

Well, I do admit, I don't know how Lonnie would've survived to adulthood if it hadn't been for Tiny looking out for him. And nobody in the world could ask for better friends than you and Tiny.

Oh, Leona, you’re the best girlfriend there ever could be! We sure have fun, don’t we?

We do! Sometime, maybe Miz Allen'll write about one of our Wives' Weekends.

No, indeed! We don’t want Lonnie and Tiny reading about it and wanting to come along on the next one!

That wouldn't be much fun! Or maybe it would. Wonder what color Tiny would get his toenails painted?
