Miss Hardesty Is Happy To Be Home @AprilA2Z

Hello, my dears. Amelia Hardesty speaking. I’m very pleased to make your acquaintance.

Miss Amelia HardestyAs for the title of this post, I believe it may be a trifle overstated. Not that I’m unhappy in my home, but I’d be much happier to be home if I’d been anywhere else in the past five years.

Yes, I realize that my … well, call it house arrest … was of my own doing, but that doesn’t make me resent it any less.

Perhaps Matthew could be persuaded to let me take dear Mitch to Europe during summer break. We wouldn’t go to Paris, though, obviously. Italy, I think. I’m sure Andrew would look after the dogs for me while we’re gone.

Now! I feel happier already! Hand me my cigarettes, would you, dear? Thank you so much!

Oh! Pop over and visit Nancy Mock’s delightful Hungry Enough to Eat Six, an amusing and visually pleasing food blog.

I was born in Louisville, Kentucky, but now live in the woods in southern Indiana. Though I only write fiction, I love to read non-fiction. The more I learn about this world, the more fantastic I see it is.

Pleased to meet you, too! I have writing prompts every day, not just during the A to Z. And I post every day, too. EVERY day, including Sunday. ~grin~
