Creative Blogger Thingie

Holly Jahangiri (the real one) gave me this Creative Blogger Award.

Creative-Blogger-Award-39872_200x160The rules

  1. Thank and post the link of the person who nominated you.
  2. Share 5 facts about yourself to your readers.
  3. Nominate 10-20 blogs and notify them.
  4. Pass on the rules.

Thank you Holly! For a good time, visit Holly Jahangiri at It’s All A Matter Of Perspective.

Five things about me

  1. I love dark beer. Irish red is good. Porter or stout is better. Free is best.
  2. I gave birth to one of my favorite authors. Literally.
  3. Although my mother tells me my first word was “meat”, I’ve gradually drifted closer to being vegan, just because veg is so darned good. I reserve the right to fall off the turnip truck upon a whim.
  4. Charlie is much more house-proud than I am. He’s been behind every new piece of furniture, curtain, dish, and flatware we’ve ever had. I’m like, “Whatever.”
  5. My fixation is kitchen gadgets. Show me a thing that does a thing, and you have to put me in a straightjacket and sedate me to keep me from buying two.

Nominate ALL the blogs!

  1. Sara Marian, that author I mentioned in #2
  2. Sarah Glenn, author and publisher, editor and friend
  3. Vidya Sury, because she helps me remember gratitude and mindfulness
  4. Andi-Roo, because she’s tough enough to be vulnerable. Also, she says “fuck” a lot.
  5. Pam, The Unconventional Librarian, because she looks at books “from a multicultural perspective. Books need to represent our society….”

I’m supposed to do 10-20, but I don’t want to, so I’m not. If you’re a creative blogger, leave your link in the comments, and consider yourself nominated, ‘kay?

MA

About

I was born in Louisville, Kentucky, but now live in the woods in southern Indiana. Though I only write fiction, I love to read non-fiction. The more I learn about this world, the more fantastic I see it is.

    Congrats, MA.

#2 is super cool. But then, you’re a cool ma, MA, so that shouldn’t be a surprise.

She is WAY cool, Rasheed! We named her Sara Margaret but she legally changed her middle name to Marian. Proud? Me? NAH! lol

We have 1, 2, 4, and 5 in common!! How freaky is THAT? As if I needed any more, I keep finding more reasons to explain why we get along so well! (I think I could manage ovo-lacto-pescatarian, but I’m not sure…)

I love these style posts, it’s a great way for your readers to get to know a little more about you. I totally agree with number 5 – I can’t resist a gadget, with me it seems the more pointless, the better!

Thanks for stopping in, Debbie! I’ve had to control my enthusiasm for gadgets and only buy ones that I really use. I was running out of room for them all. lol

I’m glad, too, Vidya. 🙂 And I’m always and ever glad to have met Holly.

Oh, kitchen gadgets are so great! My husband and kids are always teasing me about my gadgets, so it’s particularly sweet when one or another of them recognizes the value of one. My husband now loves my mandoline slicer because it cuts vegetables as thin as he likes them. 😉

Oh, yes! The one that squinches the thing so it’s round! The one that squinches the thing so it’s flat! The one that you put the things through so they do the thing!
