Whew! Two Happies and a Hot Flash

Story A Day May is over, which is not one of the happies. I enjoyed it.

Today is the first of the month, so there’s a new mini-micro story on the Hot Flashes page.

CongratulationsMy happies are writing successes.

I won an Amazon gift certificate from the fabulous Nat Wilson of Sometimes The Wheel Is On Fire for my haiku on the subject of heroes. I wrote about sammiches. Is anybody surprised?

The Pimchan story I was working on, “Temple of Chaos”, has been accepted by Sword and Sorceress 30. This will be my third sale to that anthology series. 🙂

I also received my Medicare card. Not sure how I feel about that….

A WRITING PROMPT FOR YOU: A character finishes a big project then gets good news.

I was born in Louisville, Kentucky, but now live in the woods in southern Indiana. Though I only write fiction, I love to read non-fiction. The more I learn about this world, the more fantastic I see it is.

We can mentor each other! You mentor me on actually submitting anything… 🙂 And on pumping up the volume. (That StoryADay thing was great – till I had to put it on the back burner. Maybe I should just keep going till I’ve posted at least thirty.)

Many thanks! The sale wasn’t to the MZB mag, which is defunct, but to the 30th Sword & Sorceress anthology, which is still going strong. I did make two sales to the mag, back in the day, but also two previous sales to S&S, numbers 22 and 23.
