Well, not really. But, shortly before the hailstorm hit yesterday, I spotted this bedraggled but determined hummingbird feasting from the petunias outside the back door.
He went back and forth from the petunias to the clothesline, at one point buzzing directly over my head. I tried not to disturb him much, because I didn’t know how long the predicted storm would last (it didn’t last long) and I wanted him to eat as much as he could before it hit.
What a trooper!
This being Tuesday, I’m posting at Fatal Foodies on the subject of prepared salmon burgers: kind of yucky but kind of not.
A WRITING PROMPT FOR YOU: Write about a character laying in food before a storm. Jane, I expect to see that in the next Callie London Vampire Adventure!

July 14, 2015 at 8:51amAwww, so cute! Goodness, the hail we had at Lake Tahoe would’ve conked the poor little guy in the noggin and flattened him. I hope he got a good meal and found decent shelter!

July 14, 2015 at 12:41pmOh, for sure! Was indoors each time (we had hail storms daily!) Don’t know if you saw my Tahoe post, but I have a picture of one of the average hailstones.
